Political Power Grows Out of the Barrel of a Gun.

So, it is reported, said Mao Tse Tung. Here's a question for Christians, Was he right?

As I take note of how the Media and the Government of the UK simply stonewall the wishes of the people, I incline to think that might is right. But that is the flesh speaking. Insomuch, it seems, as they control public narrative and have powers of enforcement, there is a temptation to suppose that nothing can be done. Some in frustration, under such conditions in the past, have taken up arms.

But "what saith the scripture?"

"The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds." 2 Cor. 10:4.

Jehoshaphat's powerful prayer expresses the same truth.

"O LORD God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might? so that none is able to withstand thee?" 2 Chron. 20:6.

I believe it was Robert McCheyne who said, "A holy man is a mighty weapon in the hands of the LORD."

To your prayers and your Bibles then brothers and sisters in Christ and let the spiritual ne'er-do-wells look to their going.
